Events for 2010-2011.

1. The Great Professor’s debate. – This event was one of our most successful event last year. This event was popular because UTM’s renowned professors were debating on topics related to political science and economics. This year the club is widening our horizon and the topics would be such that would cater to many fields of academia. We hope to take this event from success of last year to a much bigger success this year. The date and the time for this event would be announced in due course via facebook.

2. UTMDBC (UTM Debating Club) & UEC (UTM Economics Council) Event. – This is a historic event and will be an uncharted territory for both UTMDBC and UEC. We expect a great response from our worthy partners in getting this event underway. We are expecting to hold this event in the first half of the second semester. The club hopes to get this exciting event underway and also hopes for future endeavors with UEC and other such worthy clubs at UTM. The exact logistics of this event would be announced at a later date, but rest assured, it would be a historic event.

3. Weekly Debating Sessions. – If you were a part of the club last time, you know what they are about. Here our club members come together, to debate on various topics. This is an excellent opportunity to practice and show your skills as an excellent debater. People who come to these sessions would be the ones chosen to represent UTM in several debating competition. These competitions would be announced on a later date, as the dates and the logistics of these competition still announced to us sometime during the academic year. These sessions are also a great learning tool on topics you may not be familiar with. Please come to these as they held specially for members to attend and sharpen their debating skills every week. 4. Other events like Extramural Debating competitions would be announced at a later date.
