UTMDBC’s First General Meeting

Hello Everyone,

First of all, thanks a lot  for showing up at our table during clubs week. It was a pleasure to meet with  you and to see your interest in professional debating. We received an overwhelming response during clubs week and were perhaps one of the few new clubs on campus to have attracted so many members during clubs week. It is the UTMDBC Executive’s promise that it will try its level best to make this year a fruitful one for you and to make sure that you gain something productive out of this club.

With regards to our first general meeting, we’ve decided that we’ll be having it during the week of Sept. 27th. Owing to an unexpectedly huge response during clubs week we decided that it would be better if we shifted the meeting to the Wednesday (Sept.30th) and Thursday(Oct. 1st) of the week after. We realised that it would have been hard to adjust so many people in the presentation room.We are still working on the rooms but it’ll most likely be one of the south building lecture theaters. The time for the meeting will be 5 pm for both the days. The meeting may go on for more than an hour as we’ll be going over some really important stuff.

We highly recommend that you attend any one of the two general meetings. The Thursday meeting is for those who will not be able to attend the meeting on Wednesday and we’ll be going over the same stuff for both the meetings.
